Seasons change
I so love and respect my husband, Smitty. He takes seriously the call on his life as the leader of this family. Please take a minute and read his blog to see some changes in the Smitty family. We anticipate all that the Lord will do in the coming season.
Speaking of seasons, we have had a wonderful Easter and Spring. Our days are full of afternoons at the park, windows open in the house and the hope that comes with the newness of the season. We had fun talking to the kids about the true reason to celebrate Easter. They waved palm branches and sang "Hosanna" all around the back yard! Both Micah and Elizabeth will say "He's ALIVE!" when asked where Jesus is!
Micah is talking and singing up a storm these days. He knows the lyrics to all the songs on our local Christian radio station and will say, "Hey Mom, is this Mandisa? Isn't this David Crowder?" Too cute... most days I could just eat him up... other days he is so mouthy... just like his mommy! We see a future in music for him! Elizabeth is our little funny lady. She tells us exactly what she feels while indignantly placing her hands on her hips and cocking her head back! She is a trip! (also a bit like her mother!) She LOVES her babies! Sweet Little David is such a joy. He is still pretty much a sleeper most of the day. He isn't bothered by the noise of his older siblings! Thankfully, we are all adjusting well. We need and enjoy time together as a family. We are excited about where the Lord will lead us.
We are living in the hope of Easter over here! Thanks be to God for His gift of life!
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."

David!
So, this is where we've been all this time! David made his arrival a little earlier than expected. He was due today, but came 3 1/2 weeks early. After a quick NICU stay, he came home with us as expected. We are all doing well! He is a sweet baby. He eats very well and is sleeping nicely! We are all adjusting to life as a family of 5 pretty well. Micah and Elizabeth love their new baby. Elizabeth will ask me frequently, "is he our baby?" Yes honey, he's ours and he's staying! My recovery from the c-section has gone remarkably well. We are singing God's praises for this provision! All in all... God is good!
